Baphomet

Baphomet is really a Christian invention in the 14th century. Baphomet is supposed to be the Lord of the Flies that the Knights Templar worship (that was the accusation the Catholic Church so they can persecute the Knights Templar).

Also, the name "Baphomet" was a deformation of Muhammad's name.

It was the French Mystic Alphonse Louis Constant AKA Eliphas Levi who created Baphomet. It was he who created the present form of Baphomet who looks like a bearded horned figure with pendulous female breasts, wings and cloven feet. It sits in a crossed-legged position which resembles statues of the Celtic stag god, Cernnunnus or the Horned One, found in Gaul (France) before the Roman occupation.
